Hey cool cats,
I wanna talk about the money, money, money (you can decide whether that’s sung to Abba or Jessie J)!
I know some of you are really worrying about this. It’s a daily concern. I’m going to tell you right now, I don’t have an answer that will make you a millionaire. I haven’t worked that one out for myself yet, nor am I sure I even want to!
But you know what I am doing?
I try to maintain a mentality of abundance in all regards – not just with money. I focus on what I do have + how that can be enough. So for example, I received a wonderful email from a member of this community yesterday telling me how much they love my free meditations. I take a moment to be grateful. I feel that making a difference to this one person’s life is enough for today. I feel wonderful. I could live on that for the rest of the day, even the rest of the week.
Then, lo + behold, up pops a Facebook message from another member of the community echoing the sentiments. My abundance mentality lead to more abundance.
It’s true. It’s as if you are putting an energy out there in the world that says – I am, I am. I am what I am. I have enough.
+ then the universe fulfils that prophecy.
Now, don’t get me wrong… that doesn’t mean you can sit back + not do any work. If you’re running a business, have a job +/or a family + need to bust a gut to get things done – well, you better do that. But it means that if your vibration in the universe is one of abundance – you are much more likely to feel abundant.
At the end of the day things are only what we perceive them to be.
This is what yoga + meditation is also all about. Changing our perceptions. Realising that we are not our emotions. Changing our vibrations. Someone who feels poor can feel richer just by changing the way they express gratitude for what they do have.
Obviously this post is not suggesting that people who live in abject poverty can get themselves out of it purely with an abundance mentality – but isn’t it a much better way to live?
If we can all try to be more grateful for what we do have, whatever that is, then perhaps we will see more easily the opportunities to access more.
Maybe if we all dig a little deeper + access that abundance, we realise how much we have. Perhaps we can give more of it to others than we first thought. Or perhaps we can find ways to help others reach their own. Then we do help everybody out of poverty. We carry each other’s vibrations when we need to – to help us all get to a better life.
Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga said:
Prosperity doesn’t mean that you have wealth, health, and happiness. The best way to explain prosperity is that when a rosebud flowers and opens up, it has its fragrance. When a man or a woman is prosperous, there is that fragrance of security, grace, depth, character, and truthfulness, which that person can share. Like a candle emits light, a prosperous human emits prosperity.
Want to shine your light of abundance + prosperity?
Try this meditation for prosperity for 11 minutes. It will guide you through any block, help you access your neutral mind + hold in trust all that comes to you. You will be more grateful + less expecting.
Sit cross legged. The eyes are closed, focused up at the Brow Point (or you can do this with the eyes open, looking down at the tip of the nose – trickier though!).
Put the elbows by the sides, with the forearms parallel to the ground. The hands are pointing forward, with the palms facing up, wrists straight. Touch the thumbs to the tips of th eindex fingers. Chant steadily:
HAR HA-RAY HA-REE WHA-HAY GU-ROO
This mantra uses 3 qualities of HAR – seed, flow + completion. The infinite.
With love + light,
Raeeka
