This week’s post is short and sweet. It’s about loving your body. We can do this in all sorts of expensive ways – or we can use home remedies that are just as effective.
My tip for you is on exfoliating/scrubbing. It’s important to do this (even the yogi’s said so!) to improve circulation and remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin so your skin can breathe. You can do this in a couple of ways.
Body Brush
Buy a body brush from your local health shop and brush your body every morning before you step into the shower. Brush in upward circles to help encourage circulation.
Body Scrub
For natural moisturisation and exfoliation, mix 1 part almond oil (or olive oil will do) with 2 parts sugar (brown or white). Add anything else you like the smell of, e.g. a drop of lavender oil – whatever floats your boat! Make sure your skin is wet, and then scrub away to rejuvenate your skin and feed it healthy, moisturising oils at the same time.
